Bandipe Langeni
My name is Bandipe Langeni and I am a Registered Counsellor by profession. I was born and raised in the Eastern Cape in the small town of Butterworth. I studied at the Pearson Institute of Higher Education where I completed my Bachelor of Psychology Honours equivalent degree (BPysch). I have training and experience in primary interventions and in a number of contexts such as working with children, working in community contexts, victim empowerment units, individual counselling, court preparation for children and the development and conduction of psychoeducational workshops around persisting social issues. I also have training in the administration of basic psychological assessments. I have experience in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
My desire to provide this service to clients or the community is rooted in my passion for assisting individuals in empowering themselves. I strongly believe that we all have the capacity to overcome difficulties that we encounter in our daily lives. At times it is normal for us to need some help to make the changes we need to make. This is done with the use of short-term, structured interventions drawn from a number of evidence-based psychological approaches as they are assessed as appropriate for the client’s needs.
Luke Wittstock
Luke Wittstock is an associate Clinical Psychologist.
Following his schooling in East London, Luke explored vocations in church ministry and high school teaching before finding his passion in psychology. During his masters training he was especially trained to provide psychotherapy within the humanistic and ecosystemic schools of psychology. He therefore pays very particular attention to a client’s unique process, the context in which they find themselves in, and how they interact within those contexts. Owing to his ecosystemic psychology training, Luke has also been trained as a family therapist. His masters research focused on the relationship between psychology and religion. He is currently also interested in existential psychology, positive psychology and the psychology of boys and men.
He offers family therapy, and individual psychotherapy to adolescents and adults.
B. Social Science (Fort Hare); B. Theology (Cum Laude; St. Augustine College); BA Honours – Psychology (Cum Laude; NMMU); MA Clinical Psychology (Cum Laude; Unisa).
